(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. France won eight of its games and lost only to Marlborough of the provinces and to New Zealand in the three tests, in the tour which ended at Auckland on Saturday. The tourists scored 154 points and conceded 120. In the three-match test series, they scored 24 points to 40 but had the same number of tries as the All Blacks, three. Ovet-all, they scored 28 tries to 13, 17 conversions to six, eight penalties to 21 and four dropped goals to two. The top scorer was J. IM. Bonal, with 25 points from three tries, five conversions and two penalties. Two points behind was P. Villepreux, four conversions, four penalties and one dropped goal. The French used 27 of their 30 players in the test series; only three of the backs—
Villepreux, J. Trillo and J. Maso—and only two of the forwards —W. Spanghero and B. Dauga—played in ail three games. The players who were not chosen for any of the tests were P. Besson and A. Andrieu, in the backs and C. Chenevay in the forwards.
