More Calls
Calls handled by the international telephone exchange in Auckland continue to increase. Last May there was a record of 14,307 completed calls to Australia alone. This was 130 more calls than in December, which took in the Christmas traffic. In June there were 12,483 calls to Australia, an increase of 924 calls on the same month last year. In the first six months of this year there were 79,587 calls to Australia—a rise of more than 11,000 on those in the first six months of 1967.
