LOSS OF CHURCH
Rebuilding Not Likely (N.Z. Preu Association) WELLINGTON, July 14. The Norsewood Church, which was destroyed by fire last week, may not be rebuilt. The vicar, the Rev. W. S. Willink, says the district still has enough churches—four—and that the cost of building a new one at Norsewood would be too high. Church officials, at an emergency meeting on Friday, opposed rebuilding. The church’s annual meeting on July 26 has the final decision whether to replace the church.
