Support For Unions
The Canterbury Trades Council of the Federation of Labour this week pledged its support to unions already involved in industrial disputes with employers in support of the resolution of the special F.OX. conference of July 4 tn Wellington. It also pledged its support to any unions that become involved in disputes with employers who refuse to agree to the payment of a 7.6 per cent cost-of-living increase. The president of the council (Mr R. A. Hill) yesterday said that the council’s officers and executives were holding themselves ready to come to the assistance of any trade unions that might become in--4 volved.
