DEPARTURE TONIGHT

V.C. Holders For Reunion (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 9. Four Victoria Cross holders from New Zealand will leave Auckland tonight 'in an R.A.F. aircraft to attend the reunion in London of Victoria Cross and George Cross holders. They are Messrs C. H. Upham, A. C. Hulme, J. D. Hinton, and H. J. Laurent. Each will be accompanied by two relatives. A World War I veteran, Mr J. G. Grant, whose request to travel in the aircraft was refused because it was thought the trip through India and the Mediterranean would be too arduous for him, will leave by air for London tomorrow night. His air fare and those of his two nurses, Sister M. Dalton and Mrs B. Fair, have been paid by Lady Stevenson, of Howick.
