Ninety-five building permits for work worth 8253,598 were issued by the Waimairi County Council in April, compared with 157 permits, worth $438,546, in April, 1967. The average cost of a house on the permits issued last month was $7221, compared with $8632 a year ago, and the average cost a square foot was less, at $5.93, compared with $6.90.
