Call For Peace Conference

DJAKARTA, May 12. Ethiopia and Indonesia today called for a new conference of non-aligned countries to seek world peace, and economic progress for developing nations.
Emperor Haile Selassie and President Suharto said that such a conference, if adequately prepared, could “not only help solve current major international problems endangering world pegee. but also contribute to the efforts of developing nations to achieve economic progress.” In a joint communique issued On the last day 4f the Emperor’s visit here, they said they believed that the current Vietnam peace talks could succeed “so that the Vietnamese peoples can exercise their rights to decide their own future, without Outside interference.”
