Korean’s Two Big Wins
fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The South Korean coach, Lee Sang Hoon, yesterday saved New Zealand from its worst defeat in international women’s basketball. Lee took his first-line players off the court after South Korea led the New Zealand invitation side, 54-8, at half-time. The visitors ended up winning only 89-33.
It was the second of two games played by the Koreans during 48 hours in Wellington. On Saturday they beat the invitation side, containing seven New Zealand internationals. 80-43.
