Nickel Search In Aust.

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, May 9.

Mineral claims totalling 7900 acres at the Scotia nickel area in Western Australia are to be drilled by two compan ies, the "Financial Times” reported. The paper said the companies, Great Boulder and North Ka.gurli, would carry out the drilling under their option from the Jones family prospecting syndicate. The joint operating agreement would give Great Boulder a 51 per cent stake in the project and the remaining 49 per cent would go to North Kalgurli.

Assays averaging 2.54 per cent nickel and 0.34 per cent copper were understood to have been obtained from 14 shallow drill holes in the Scotia area.
