The immediate withdrawal of all combat troops from Vietnam, as suggested by Left-wing delegates to the Federation of Labour’s conference, would result in a blood bath for the Innocent women and children of Vietnam, the president (Mr T. E. Skinner) Mid at the conference today. He was supporting a remit by the North Island Electrical Workers* Union. This was passed. The remit asked for the progressive withdrawal of all combat troops under international supervision. The Drivers’ Union delegates, Messrs P. J. Kelly and G. A. Anderson, argued for the withdrawal of all combat troops.

Mr T. C. Gallagher (Food Processing Union) said the immediate withdrawal of troops would bring an immense masMcre among the helpless millions of civilians and refugees of Vietnam.
