DEVALUATION SURVEY MADE
The New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation is studying the effects of devaluation on manufacturers. The survey is being made in association with the Australia and New Zealand Bank, Ltd.

Mr Speirs said that there had been virtually no information on the impact of devaluation on manufacturing. The federation had welcomed an A.N.Z.
It was four months since devaluation and members should be able to give accurate answers, said Mr Speirs. The questionnaires must be returned by May 1 to enable the results to be available for the National Development Conference. Information is sought on changes in ability of industry to export; any impact on import costs and movements in selling prices.
