Shortage Of Men

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 22. Labour was so scarce on the waterfront today that 250 casuals were engaged. A spokesman for the Waterfront Industry Commission said that at 7.30 a.m. they were 10 gangs (190 men) short, but by 1.30 p.m. the labour situation was satisfactory.
