Body Found In Swamp

(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, April 22. The body of a Christchurch man, reported missing on Saturday, was found today in the swamp into which his car had plunged from the Blen-heim-Picton Highway, about one and a half miles north of Tuamarina. He was James Edward Comerford, a widower, of 51 Victors Road, Christchurch. The car was found submerged in deep swamp water. After the car was recovered this evening, three skindivers from the Marlborough Research Organisation probed the muddy, stagnant water until they found the body. Mr Comerford had been camping in Blenheim for a week.
