Theologian’s Visit

Professor G. Lloyd, of the School of Divinity, Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan, will visit Christchurch at the week-end, during a brief visit to New Zealand. Professor Lloyd who teaches the New Testament at the school, will be accompanied by his wife, who is on the staff of a girls’ high school. Both are missionaries of the Presbyterian Church of the United States and have been in Japan for 15 years. They are visiting New Zealand on their way home to the United States on furlough. They will arrive in Christchurch on Saturday and on Sunday Professor Lloyd will preach at a service at 11 a.m. at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Cashel Street. After the evening serivce at 8.10 p.m. he will give a talk on his experiences in Japan.
