Rugby Loss To England
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) EDINBURGH. England beat Scotland, 8-6, in a Rugby international on Saturday, and the Scots finished the five-nations tournament in bottom place. Associated Press reported. England, with a strong wind behind it in the second half hit back after trailing 0-6 at half-time to score its first win of the season. England finished the tournament with four points from four games. France bad already made sure of the title for the second consecutive year. The Scottish full-back, S Wilson, kicked a penalty in the fourteenth minute and G. Connell made it 6-0 with a fine dropped goal in the thirty-third minute. Connell, with his back to the posts, gathered a loose ball and pivoted to take aim. An Englishman tackled him, but he got in his kick. M. Coulman put England back in the game when he wriggled through for a try between the posts in thq fiftieth minute. R. Hillei converted, and later won the game for England with a penalty in the seventy-second minute. The ball, carried by the wind, just crept over the bar. The points table is:—
