Man Looked Like Bede

AUCKLAND, March 17.

More than 30 police swooped on a Newmarket area on Saturday evening after a man answering the description of Auckland prison escaper. Mihaly Bede, was seen there Less than two hours later, police rushed to Penrose, after a man had said he saw Bede, whom he knew well, in a car with a woman. The car was later found to have no connection with Bede. The sighting in Newmarket was regarded as fairly positive. Several persons saw an unkempt man with a bad limp interfering with a car.
