Inter-hospital Sports

The scoring was fast in an inter-hospitals cricket tournament in Ashburton at the weekend. Two teams from Christchurch, and one each from Ashburton and Timaru took part. Christchurch B won a play-off, for a trophy. J. Billings (Christchurch) made 130 in 90 minutes, against Ashburton. D. Creighton (Timaru) made 87 in 60 minutes against Christchurch B.

Teams from Princess Margaret, Ashburton and Timaru hospitals competed for a tennis cup which was won by Timaru.
