Raglan has been sending Christmas parcels to South Vietnam for some time, but an appeal for contributions to send to wounded soldiers has failed completely. Mr D. W. Arter, who has been helping to organise the parcels, said the public did not react to the appeal. “Some people are only too willing to send stuff to the North Vietnamese but nothing to our own men,” he said.
