Bede Caught, Remanded

AUCKLAND, Feb. 6.
Mihaly Bede, aged 27, recaptured this morning, appeared briefly before Mr H. Rosen, S.M., in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court. He was remanded in custody until Tuesday on 17 charges. A warrant for Bede’s arrest was issued by a Magistrate after Bede, described on charge sheets as a welder and an unemployed restaurant worker, escaped from a lavatory in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court building on January 25. - He was then on remand on four charges of burglary, six of taking cars, two of assaulting constables, one of resisting a constable, two of having burglary instruments, one of carrying a loaded firearm in a car, and one of dangerous driving. Bede was not further charged in court today.
