Financial Success
The Canterbury Jockey Club experienced an over-all increase of $72,092-50 on its summer meeting which ended at Riccarton yesterday. Off-course betting for the two days amounted to $434,308, an increase of $89,178.50 on last year. On-course investments for the meeting amounted to $193,645, a decrease of $17,086 on last year. Investments on yesterday’s programme were:— On-course, $106,250, a decrease of $7025. Off-course, $240,908, a de'crease of $12,290.50.
