Price Of Wheat

Sir, —Messrs Pickering, McLachlan and Talbot have awakened to the fact that they are members of the wrong party. Mr Pickering cannot understand why Cabinet did not consult him. Is this sadness some form of conceit or is it evidence that he is a very “small potato” in the councils of his party? Electors everywhere (some in high places and eminent) are deploring a lack of integrity among the country’s leaders. If these members of Parliament wish to convince the farmers of their sincerity why not resign and allow their constituents to convince their party that if the Government lacks something, the electors mean business?— Yours, etc., HAYSEED.
