Belgarah, after her third placing behind Bywon and Talavera over a mile on the middle day of the Wellington Cup meeting, is expected to be the best prospect for the second leg of the T.A.B. double, the Publicans’ Handicap. At Trentham, Belgarah finished not much more than a length behind Bywon, which subsequently shared the winner’s stake in the George Adams Handicap.
