Cyclist Still In Hospital
B. Berry, one. of the cyclists injured on Wednesday evening in a crash at | English Park, Is still in Burwood Hospital. Berry suffered extensive facial cuts when he crashed into the fence during the Percy Cole Memorial race and has had. 24 stitches in his face. It was originally thought he would have to have plastic surgery, but this is not necessary, Berry’s mother said last evening. The worst-injured in the spectacular crash, one of the most severe at English Park for years, Berry also broke several teeth, and lost some gold fillings and suffered a few other minor abrasions. G. R. Sword was discharged from Christchurch Hospital yesterday afternoon with in structions not to train for at least a week. He suffered con missions, and was treated fot head injuries, and facial, hand and shoulder abrasions. B. G. Stockwell was discharged on Wednesday even ing after treatment. He suffered back, rib, hip and arm grazes and cuts and still has a numbed right arm.
