TROTTING Binshaw To Try For Title Again
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. The defending champion, Binshaw, from Western Australia, is among the nine Australian horses which remain in the pacing section of next month’s InterDominion championships at Alexandra Park.
The Tasmanian pacer, Halwes, is another notable final acceptor. A record Australian contingent of 13 seems virtually assured. Four trotters, all from Victoria, are still in the fields. Only one Victorian horse, Lord Setay, remains in the pacing championship, but he has a high reputation. Of the New Zealand horses, the best have held their places. Sixty-six horses remain in the pacers’ section and 42 in the trotters’ championship.
