Special Mass
A special Mass for members of the congress of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The . Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby) will preside at the service, which will be open to any other interested persons. The occasional sermon will be preached by the Rev. P. J. O’Neill, S.M., who is a contributor to the congress d a member of the staff of S’ Patrick’s College, Wellington, and the Department of Education.- His work has been concerned with the impe -entation throughout New Zealand of the new mathematics pro gramme.
