(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. A fighting 56 not out by C. Walker saved the South Island primary schoolboys’ cricket team from defeat in its match against the North at Wellington on Tuesday. North declared its second innings closed at 159 for seven, giving it a lead of 248. In its second innings South lost seven wickets for 66 and looked certain to lose, but an unbeaten partnership of 62, between Walker and P. Martin, enabled a draw. Scores:— North 166 and 159/7 declared (G. Ware 37, G. McKenzie 34; R. Wilson 4/43) drew with South 77 and 128/7 (C. Walker 56 not out, P. Martin 21 not out; L. Wilson 3/41). ,
