DUSTIN CUP

No Defence By Holder (N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Because of the high costs—estimated at $l2OO for players and officials—the Panmure Aces women's softball team will not defend the Dustin Cup at the national tournament at Christchurch in March. Announcing this yesterday, Mr D. Kinghorn, the club's president, said that Panmure’s non-entry was solely because of expense and not because several leading players bad transferred. “Next season," said Mr Kinghorn, “the finals will be played in Auckland and you can bet your bottom dollar we will be competing.” Panmure Aces won the Dustin Cup at their first attempt last season.
