DISPUTE ENDED

(N Z Press Association) HASTINGS, Jan. 16. The Tomoana Freezing Works dispute, which started on Friday, ended this afternoon. Killing will resume tomorrow. The secretary of the Freezing Workers’ Union, Mr A. Anderson, said that agreement had been reached between the union ano the management.

Members of the freezing workers’ union met this afternoon. The dispute was over the order of killing sheep and lambs. The management decided last week that lambs should be killed first and the union objected. Again today no stock for export was killed, the only killing being for the abattoir to supply butchers.
