COMMERCIAL B.H.P., W.M.C. Gain On Firm Market

(N.Z. Press Association— Copyright' SYDNEY, January 12. Nickel, the mineral which dominated the share market in 1967 came back into favour today. Buyers pushed the fully paid shares of Western Mining Corporation up 170 c to an all time high of 3620 c.

The shares later eased to ij record a last sale of 3500 c. ;i Another nickel stock to stand ; out was V.A.M., Ltd, which ; rose 100 c to reach a new peak ! of 330 c and later eased to I close at 275 c. Great Boulder ’ Gold Mines was also in de- ; maud with the rights gaining ; 30c to 320 c, while the fully ' paid shares rose 10c to 670 c. Metals Exploration fully paid I shares put on 25c to 350 c. I Oil stocks were well traded. ; In the investment section iB.H.P. rose 15c to 1625 c. C.S.R. put on 13c to 453 c. Peko Wallsend 1972 options rose 15c to 510 c.
