Sailor’s Flight For Vincent

"The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Sailor's Flight, which has been consistently placed over sprint and middle distances over the holiday racing, has the best credentials of the field for the Poolburn Handicap, the second leg of the Vincent Jockey Club's T.A.B. double at Omakau today. With luck she would have won on more than one occasion since she was an unlucky second in the open mile at the Beaumont meeting last month. She was third in the James Hazlett Gold Cup and the Publicans' Handicap at Wingatur and was narrowly beaten in the ■ Waikouaiti Cup, in which she tried to lead most of the way. Her only lapse was at her last start, the President's Handicap at Invercargill, in- which she weakened to fifth after disputing the pace to the straight A likely improver is Bob's Secret. He has made steady progress since he joined J. R. Dowling s stable. Modern Imp, a winner of the Great Easter Handicap at Riccarton, has been troubled by unsoundness but he has the class to show up in this field. Flying Trix just failed to hold Loch Nagar in the sprint at Wyndham. Although she is a veteran she is capable of winning. Of the light-weights. Polar has the strongest appeal. The first leg of the double will be the Moran Memorial Challenge Cup, in which The Medico, winner of three of his last four races. Baal Hanan and Glocca Morra have the strongest appeal.
