Trip As Prize
The chance to spend a week in Christchurch watching the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting will be offered as first prize in a competition to be run by a British national newspaper, the “Sun.” Entrants will he asked to list in order 12 suggestions for the improvement of British racing. If the winner is a man, he will be able to bring his wife; if a woman, her husband. It is expected that the winner will spend a week in Christchurch and see the three days of the Grand National meeting.
