Naval Wharf Shortened

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 3. The naval wharf at Devonport has been shortened by 100 feet, and old timber sections renewed. Mr S. Patient, senior engineer for the Ministry of Works at Devonport, said the work would give the Navy’s larger ships more manoeuvrability in the basin. The Royalist had been bepthed alongside part of the removed section before the work started last month.
