Precautions At Race
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 28. Safety precautions at the Pukekohe motor racing circuit have been tightened to give added protection to spectators at the New Zealand Grand Prix on January 6. For the last three weeks workmen have been building new crash barriers along the front of the grandstand and extending the barriers on some of the bends. Police and race officials will keep spectators clear of danger spots. They will keep a close watch on the railway corner which is a popular spot for gate-crashers and which has already been the scene of two accidents this season.
