FREIGHT REVIEW

Delegation Chairman (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A .) LONDON, December 28. A new chairman, Mr C. A. W. Dawes, will head the Conference Lines’ delegation when the annual review of freight rates is held in either Wellington or London next June by the representatives of the four shipping lines serving the New Zealand trade and the New Zealand producer boards. This change comes after the retirement on December 31 of Mr R. H. Senior, chairman of the Port Line, who has also been chairman of the New Zealand Tonnage Committee.

Mr W. R. Russell, deputy chairman of Shaw Savill, will replace Mr J. A. MacConochie on the delegation. Mr MacConochie relinquishes the chairmanship of Shaw Savill at the end of March to become chairman of Furness Withy, a shipping group of which Shaw Savill is a subsidiary.
