Union With Australia?

Sir, —I agree with “S.D.” It is time that someone told these people who advocate union with Australia where they get off. To the ordinary bloke in New Zealand, Australia has nothing to offer. Professional people and entertainers and such may benefit by going there, but, by and large, the ordinary man in New Zealand is far better off than his counterpart in Australia.—Yours, etc., L.S.
