MINOR FIRES

A burning ember set fire to a trailer owned by Ronald William Searle on Sawyers Arms Road at 10.51 a.m. on Saturday. The fire - was attended by one appliance from Harewood and another from St Albans, but the trailer was severely damaged. Nearly two hours later, a small fire in some wall insulation material in a building belonging to Unilever (N.Z.), Ltd, in Harewood Road caused slight damage. Two fire engines, one from St Albans and the other from Harewood, attended.
