Health Stamp Sales

Sir, —One of the excuses I have heard for reduced health stamp sales is that they are now more expensive than before D.C. day. However, this excuse is unfounded, since the value of the two stamps together exactly equals last year’s total value. Another important factor is the topic depicted on the stamps— Rugby—which obviously is not as popular as birds were in recent years.—Yours, etc., SOPHOCLES. December 8, 1967.
