A Christmas Appeal
Sir, —Next week the Christchurch Central Mission workers will be packing Christmas gifts to distribute to some hundreds of our fellow-citi-zens who have insufficient money to buy those extra things that most of us enjoy at Christmas time. I appeal to those who are more fortunate to help the mission to express the spirit of goodwill by sending a gift for those who are less fortunate. Gifts such as Christmas cakes, puddings, sweets, toys, tinned fruit, clothing, toilet goods, or cash to purchase articles will be most acceptable. Christmas parcels will be sent to needy families, the aged sick, shut-in and lonely folk, and some who are in institutions and hospitals. These gifts will help the mission to bring joy to these folk, for when they receive a Christmas parcel they will know that “someone cares.” Gifts may be sent to the Christchurch Methodist'Central Mission, 209 Cambridge Terrace, or P.O. Box 1449, Christchurch.—Yours, etc., WILF. E. FALKINGHAM, City Missioner. December 8, 1967.
