Vicar Provided His Own Wine

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 8. The vicar of St Luke’s Anglican Church, Mount Albert, had to use his own sherry at a Communion service on Wednesday because the night before thieves had stolen 14 bottles of special Communion wine from the church. The Rev O. R. Bamburv said today that on Monday someone had taken money from a missionary box in the church and had thrown the box on a rubbish heap.
