Magistrate Appointed

Mr D. 1. N. Mac Lean, a Christchurch lawyer, has been appointed a. Stipendiary Magistrate at Otahuhu. Mr Mac Lean was educated at Otago Boys’ High School and Canterbury University, where he gained his LL.B, degree. He served in the Fleet Air Arm during the Second World War and after the war joined Wilding and Acland in Christchurch. After being in practice on bis own account he went into partnership with Mr D. Ames about 14 years ago. Mr Mac Lean is married with three children. His late father, Mr D. A. Mac Lean, was a police inspector.

Back Home.—Hisham Bin Hashim a Malaysian schoolboy who had a major heart operation at Auckland, has returned home.—(P.A.),
