Kenrick, is certain to be hard to beat in the St Andrew's Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double on the second day of the Feilding Jockey Club's spring meeting today. Kenrick, which came through last Saturday’s race in good style, has 9-0 but this should not stop him as he completely outclassed similar opposition The hard horse for Kenrick to beat at a mile and a quarter will be Tara’s Pride, which last December ran Punjabi and Creolian close in the Summer Cup at Ellerslie. Archimedes and Rikki Tikki could dominate the finish of the Colyton Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double. Although showers are predicted the track will be hard and fast. Jockey Found Dead (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR. The popular Sydney jockey, D. Weir, was found dead in his Kuala Lumpur hotel room early yesterday by his room mate. D. Coleman, shortly before they were to go off to the track for a training ride. According to L. Coles, another Sydney jockey, riding here, the 41-year-old Weir had gone to bed early last night when some of the others went out. When Coleman, of Adelaide, returned to his hotel room, Weir appeared to be sleeping soundly. Only when Coleman tried to rouse him later to go to the track did he discover he was dead. The cause of the death is still being established.
