(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. In the teeth of an extremely strong wind, R. D. Tait broke the New Zealand discus record at Auckland on Saturday. His best throw of 196 ft sin smashed the national record held by L. R. Mills (Auckland) at 190 ft lOin. Tait threw the discus to more than 194 ft four times in six throws.
