DAMAGES AWARDED
Victims Of Assault (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Three people were awarded damages totalling $1022 by the Crimes Compensation Tribunal today. j| A 65-year Auckland woman who was assaulted in 1965 received $720. As a result of her injuries she spent two weeks in hospital. The Tribunal. Judge J. B. Thompson (chairman) and Mr J. H. North, directed that her name be suppressed.
Peter Owen Crouch, a woolclasser, of Christchurch, who was assaulted in Nelson earlier this year, received $BB. John Michael White, a boiler maker, of Marsden Point, assaulted in Whangarei in November last year, received $214.
