Railway Track Inspections

The District Engineer of Railways (Mr J. C. Sandford) has advised that it has been decided to discontinue all Saturday railway track inspections in the district. A circular sent to the Inspector of Permanent Way at Addington says: “As a result of a review of areas subject to Saturday track inspection it has been found that in a number of areas inspections cannot now be justified.”
