Gymnasium At Hagley j The Parent Teacher Association at Hagley High School has already raised about 8470 for collapsible seating for the new gymnasium at the school. The money was raised from the sale of goods in a stall in Cathedral Square on October 13, the headmaster (Mr T. R. Richards) said at the board of governors’ meeting last night. The gymnasium was completed a few months ago. Two applications were received by the board for use of I the gymnasium and the hall. The Dutch Drama Club was given permission to use the! hall for its St Nicholas feast; on December 8. An applica-! tion by the Rebels’ Indoor! Basketball Club was deferred for further inquiries. The board approved the following teaching appointments for 1968: Mr A. T. Simpson (physics, head of department), Miss N. Gamble (Commercial), Miss M. Reid (commercial). Mr Richards said there was still a position for a mathematics teacher to be filled.
