Blades In Apples

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Nov. 3. Police in Washington suburbs were last night investigating instances of razor blades imbedded in apples given to children as halloween gifts. The tradition in the United States is for house-holders to give children sweets and fruit when the youngsters, clad in fancy dress and masks, come knocking on the festive night. Police said no injuries were reported among the children. Similar investigations into razor blades, pins and needles stuck into tasty items were reportedly being carried out in other east coast areas.
