New Scout Den Completed

The new Fendalton scout den in Idris Road will be opened tomorrow by Mr R. Glensor, the area commissioner of scouts in Canterbury. The den, which cost $9600, will cater for 103 scouts, scouters and cubs as well as for the Fendalton Girl Guide company. >

The den has a floor space of 3500 sq. ft and amenities such as meeting rooms and ■ kitchen. Much of the decorating and construction was done by volunteer labour. The building took about seven months to complete.
