INITIAL OUTLAY FOR CARAVANS EASILY JUSTIFIED

Even the cynic and the man who does not have a caravan will find It hard to deny that for getting away at a moment’s notice for a long week-end or for the annual holidays the caravan is the complete answer. Whether one is looking for the excitement of big gatherings at the popular holiday resorts, the open surf or the tranquillity of the bush the caravan is just the set-up you want.

For the average family the caravan may seem beyond their means. Hiring one in the season is quite expensive and owning one seems entirely out of the question money-wise. But actually owning a caravan is not such a problem at all. The caravan is a very versatile piece of equipment which can be put to more uses than towing

around the countryside for three or four weeks of the year. Notably it may serve as an extra bedroom. It is cool in summer and warm in winter—snug all the year round. For the extra guests the caravan can be the ideal answer to the caravan problem. When parked in a quiet secluded part of the garden

the caravan can be an excellent place for mum to sew, paint, entertain or just relax. It suits dad as a quiet reading spot where he can doze off for an afternoon. In bad weather it’s the answer for keeping children amused. If one cannot or does not put his caravan to such uses then there are any number of people who

would be glad to pay money for the hire of the caravan.

So clearly, the cost involved in buying a caravan is not so outrageous when one considers the fringe benefits. Try adding the equivalent amount of space to one’s home and see what that would cost And you can’t take that with you!
