MEMBERSHIP INCREASES
Archaeological Society
Membership of the Canterbury Museum Archaeological Society increased in the last year to 95, the secretary (Mr B. N. Norris) said at the society’s annual meeting. Mr R. J. Scarlett addressed the meeting on the eight months he spent in Australia and New Guinea, investigating archaeological sites.
Officers elected are.—Leader, Dr R. S. Duff: deputy leader, Mr J. Freeborn: field supervisor, Mr M. Trotter; secretary-treasurer, Mr B. N. Norris: council, Miss M. Prebble, Mesdames B. McCulloch and S. Burrage, and Mr C. Northcroft.
