TROTTING Rhyl And Royal Walk Selected At Forbury

Rhyl (St Kilda Handicap) and Royal Walk (City Handicap) should be two of the best prospects on the second night of the Forburv Park Trotting Club’s spring meeting tomorrow.

Rhyl is also engaged in the Recovery Handicap, but his prospects look best in the St Kilda Handicap, a race for four-year-olds.

Rhyl ran out a very easy rinner on the first night of the meeting in an ordinary handicap event which did not draw a particularly strong Jield. He will have to give starts of up to 24 yards to some promising pacers, but he should not find the task too difficult.

Senator Frost showed gameness when he won recently at Ashburton. He, too, will start from 24 yards. Senator Frost is a smart young pacer well capable of extending Rhyl. C. C. Devine’s bracket of Demure, Master Kent and Golightly will be popular. All three have shown worth-while form this season, and it will not surprise if more than one of the bracket finishes in a place. Authentic and Bonnie Lindy appeal most of the others, although the Motukarara winner. Valley Girl, may show up. Last season's New Zealand Sapling Stakes winner, Royal Walk, overcame a slow start when he finished second to Cardinal Garrison on the first night of the meeting. The City Handicap looks made to order for him and even if he loses a little ground early he should still win. Imperial Way, which will be

making a fresh start, looked (well when paraded at the Ashburton trials on Tuesday. He should be ready to run out a solid 11 furlongs. Viva Zabata went a fair race for fifth last week. He could be at the improving stage and might be hard to beat. Fratello and Santa Claus appeal most of the others. The T.A.B. double will be run on the Commodore Filter Handicap and the Star Handicap. An on-course concession double will be run on the Kensington Handicap and the Seaview Handicap. Fair weather is forecast iand the track will be in splendid order.
